The Proving Grounds event was created for the sole reason of competition between gamers in different circles who want their abilities tested on a larger scale. It's a mosh pit of raw talent and carnage that rewards its champions with an increase in reputation and of course rewards for being the best. Exhibition matches, random meets, and Tournament entry's is the usual for the group but we our main goal is to open a lounge in Northern Virginia so the DC/VA/MD gamers have a place to call home :P

Let's take our solitary hobby, and turn it into a social one! I haven't totally decided how I want to set it up yet. We can either do a book club style (we set out to play a certain game or genre for a time, then agree to meet up and discuss), or we can just get together to actually play a multiplayer game à la Monster Hunter. Let me know what you guys think, I'd like to have a plan of action.
